Welcome to ALBA 26!

The Automotive Low-Voltage Battery Advancements (ALBA) Workshop has established itself as the go-to place for automotive 12 V battery experts discussing new requirements arising from vehicle electrification, functional safety and new power-supply topologies – as well as improvements in battery technology. For 2026, we will expand coverage to sodium-ion batteries and 24 V applications.
Key areas of the technical agenda 2026 will be cold performance, charge recovery, battery selection and operation, as well as test methods. ALBA 26 is a "serial hybrid" event with the following elements:

  • virtual workstreams (since January) and Speakers' Day 18 May, which require advance registration
  • ALBA Plus projects (see list of  proposals)
  • 3 webinars early May
  • NEW in 2026: seminar New Storage Technologies,19 May (8:30-10:30)
