Welcome to ALBA 27!
The Automotive Low-Voltage Battery Advancements (ALBA) Workshop has established itself as the go-to place for automotive 12 V battery experts discussing new requirements arising from vehicle electrification, functional safety and new power-supply topologies – as well as improvements in battery technology. See our technical agenda 2026 that covers cold performance, charge recovery, battery selection and operation, as well as test methods.
For 2027, ALBA will take place in Stuttgart, Germany, during the same week as Europe's largest battery trade show, The Battery Show. We will expand our coverage of new storage technologies for 12V-to-48V automotive systems while continuing to provide a cutting-edge innovation forum for lead batteries, which are prevalent in many applications.

Advance Registration will open in early September 2026 on this web site! As an advance registrantm, you will have access to:
- 4 virtual workstreams preparing the content of ALBA 2027 in shared test work and expert discussions,
- 3 days of ALBA face-to-face sessions in Stuttgart beginning Wednesday 23 June,
- early versions of sizing tools and engineering guidelines for automotive power-supply storage, and
- an affordable hotel room, which otherwise is difficult to find in Stuttgart during trade fairs.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, several industry expert working meetings will take place at our venue. In only 30 minutes travel distance, you may choose to visit ffrom The Battery Show Europe for half a day or a full day, too. Our main workshop on Thursday and Friday will again commence with technology tutorials, followed by express plenary talks and intensive breakout discussions on various hot topics.
If you are interested to offer a contribution or be an industry partner of ALBA 27, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@alba-workshop.info.
ALBA is hosted by the Consortium for Battery Innovation (CBI).
