Welcome to ALBA 26!
The Automotive Low-Voltage Battery Advancements (ALBA) Workshop has established itself as the go-to place for automotive 12 V battery experts discussing new requirements arising from vehicle electrification, functional safety and new power-supply topologies – as well as improvements in battery technology. For 2026, we will expand coverage to sodium-ion batteries and 24 V applications.
Key areas of the technical agenda 2026 will be cold performance, charge recovery, battery selection and operation, as well as test methods. ALBA 26 is a "serial hybrid" event with the following elements:
- virtual workstreams (since January) and Speakers' Day 18 May, which require advance registration
- ALBA Plus projects (see list of proposals)
- 3 webinars early May
- NEW in 2026: seminar New Storage Technologies,19 May (8:30-10:30)
- face-to-face workshop, 19 May 11:00 - 20 May 14:30 (including Tuesday evening dinner)
- IEC TC 21 WG2 meeting on 21 May, 8:30-15:00
